Aliens: Infestation features a score of different marines which each have different dialogue. When one dies, he or she is gone forever. Playing the game over and over would certainly be rewarding.
You know, I don't think there are any PS2 Metroidvanias. It seems as if there aren't as many in console form nowadays - the genre's gone to handheld devices and downloadable games.
Hey almozaya. I'd be happy to update you on the new Metroidvanias that have come out recently.
The last post on this thread mentions another Spider-Man Metroidvania (not developed by Griptonite, though - it's Spider-Man: Edge of Time for the DS), a Metroidvania centering around Mexican wrestling (Guacamelee), and on top of ports of other successful Metroidvania games (Shantae: Risky's Revenge and Aquaria) the iPod devices receive the very Castlevania-looking Dark Incursion.
Thanks for those links! I enjoyed them thoroughly. I wish he'd included Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, because the series doesn't stop being good after IV comes out. What an incredibly entertaining watch. Is there a part 4?
So I watched the first season of Sonic for Hire a little while ago. It's pretty funny - I want to hold off from watching any of season two until it's complete.
I'll check that out once I'm caught up on all the internet stuff I've left undone while playing Wario Land 3 and will definitely tell you what I think once I've watched them! I'm bookmarking it right now. =}
i have qution
what if same Metroidvanias games have option for no map run like hard easy mode after all one of the thinks make metroid nes hard it don't have map
I see what you're getting at. That's a very interesting idea... Even though there are maps online, not having an interactive map to check with consistently would make it harder. I'll have a think over this idea.
The powers-that-be do come up with some oddball stuff. =P

The list is growing as I play more and more, so expect it to get bigger with time
